Broadcast Email SARA Broadcast Email list is a fast and easy way to get the latest news and updates from the SARA Staff. This helps the staff by only having to send one Email to reach all the members, it also helps staff members not miss any members when sending information to the members. It is hard job to keep a up to date list of member's email addresses and changes of Email addresses, this is a simple automated system that will aid the staff to manage this list. There is a link on the side bar Broadcast Email with instructions, signup today don't miss those important Emails. You must sign up for Broadcast Email, your membership in SARA doesn't automatically put you on the Broadcast Email list.

SpaceNet Those interested in the very latest news and information related to air and space are invited to join us on SARA SpaceNet, Friday nights at 8:00 Pacific Time. This is an open net held on SARA's 145.390 repeater, negative offset, pl 136.5 and can be reached throughout the Central Valley of California. Topics include the latest news in the world's manned and unmanned space programs, aeronautics, astronomy events and new discoveries. We also cover Amateur Astronomy, Model, Mid and High Powered Rocketry, as well as Amateur Radio activities related to space such as monitoring meteor activity, contacting the International Space Station, using Amateur Radio Satellites, EME (Moonbounce) and how to use Orbital Plotting software.
Stanislaus Amateur Radio Association (S.A.R.A.) SARA is a volunteer club dedicated to furthering the advancements of Amateur Radio. Our purpose is the recognition and enhancement of the value of the Amateur Radio service to the public, particularly with respect to providing emergency communications. SARA is incorporated in the State of California incorporating in 1976. We meet every third Tuesday in the Modesto Police Department, Northeast Area Substation, Conference Center, 3705 Oakdale Rd. in Modesto at 7:30 PM. SARA conducts a Net every first, second and fourth Tuesday at 7:30 PM on our club 2 meter repeater 145.390 MHz - offset with a PL of 136.5. SARA maintains amateur radio repeaters on 145.390 MHz - offset , 224.140 MHz- offset , 440.225 + offset and 51.800 MHz - offset, with all repeaters using a PL of 136.5 hz. A packet digipeater, WD6EJF-1, operates on 144.910 MHz. It's K-node identifier is "SARA". These repeaters are located on Mt. Oso at an elevation of 3400 ft. with reliable coverage from Fresno to Woodland. Additionally SARA maintains a low-level 2 meter repeater at 145.110 MHz - offset PL 136.5 hz offering county wide coverage. SARA provides a public service to our communities by providing trained amateur radio operators for communications on several walk-a-thons, bicycle races and when needed, emergency communications in association with the Stanislaus Amateur Radio Emergency service. SARA is officially affiliated with the American Radio Relay League ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay League), Stanislaus County and the City of Modesto in California ( U.S.A ), ARES and the Northern Amateur Relay Council of California NARCC (North American Repeater Coordinating Council). SARA holds an FCC club station license, WD6EJF, which identifies the repeaters and digipeater. You need not be a licensed amateur to be a SARA club member.
